National Plant Quarantine Services Division – Port of Davao
Our Mandate
As a regulatory arm of the Philippine Department of Agriculture, the Plant Quarantine Service is mandated to prevent the entry of foreign pests into the country and prevent the spread of pests already existing in the country.
It also ensures compliance with phytosanitary requirements of importing countries and works with stakeholders and government authorities in enforcing Plant Quarantine Laws and Regulations.
